Bi-yearly Update

Tue Mar 11, 2008, 11:34 AM
  • Mood: Eye Candy
It's just about getting to that point, isn't it? I meant to update this thing when I got back from Egypt, but for one no one reads it and two I didn't "find the time" in the course of all the other crap going on. Yep. Shame shame.
So, I went to Egypt with a class for ten days right after New Years'. The temples and monuments and tombs were amazing, but the people SUCKED. So did the food. Definitely not what I was anticipating at all...but I got to see all the temples and ride a camel, so it's all good. I even wrote a poem! I'm so proud, it's been years since I've written one. Meant to put that on here too...I'll get right on that.
So now I'm back to school, decided to go pre-med like we all knew was inevitable anyway as much as I tried to fight it...Also back with Andrew, back to working 30 hours a week on top of school, and back to...being 18? That's new, actually. 18 and a registered Republican, only since the Libertarians would never win the election and I don't want to waste my vote.
But now I'm legal! Not that it makes a difference 'cause I'm taken, but it's nice to finally be able to get my tattoo (which I haven't done yet, just something else to add to the list), vote, and go out with my friends (or would, except that most of them are over 21 so they can go out drinking...)
So, once again, I think that just about covers it.

It takes talent to create something simple yet beautiful. It takes a careless arrogance to create something complicated yet so disasterous. It takes Skill to create somthing that speaks to everyone through beauty.

Throughout life you realize that things aren't all they're cracked up to be.
Life's hard enough, don't make it harder than it has to be.
One's true meaning can only be deciphered within their Creator's eyes.
